Day out for a 5 mile walk in Woolverstone near Ipswich with lunch at  the Butt & Oyster PH

The trip from Comberton to Woolverstone is about 60 miles. You leave the A14 at the Ipswich Central/ Ipswich Docks exit and Woolverstone is just 4 or 5 miles down the Orwell. The whole trip takes about an hour.

The bar at the Butt & Oyster has one of the loveliest views in England. The walk is muddy when it is wet and rather slippery as one is walking along the side of a slope down to the river. There are glorious views of river, Thames barges, yachts and houseboats.
