The Annual General Meeting is on Thursday 25th September at the Village College, at 19:45 (quarter to eight). Put it in your diaries now, and please make an effort to attend. This years walks have been mostly well attended, and we need your support at the AGM, both to ensure that the club matches its members’ needs, and that it has a committee to do the organisation. If you cannot attend, please send your apologies to the Secretary (Paul Hardy).
Please start thinking now about walks you would like to see on the next programme, and preferably that you would be willing to lead. We need some fresh leaders, and we are very willing to help new people take on this task, e.g. by pairing them with experienced leaders. In fact deputy leaders are always welcome, to help do reconnaissance and give moral support to the leader.
Paul and Margaret Hardy will be stepping down as Secretary this AGM. Paul lost his job recently and it is very likely that we will be leaving the village within a few months (probably to go to California!).
Nominations for officers or committee should be sent or given to the secretary prior to the meeting, with name of candidate, position proposed and name of proposer
There will be drinks and nibbles after the formal business of the AGM, so you can talk to other ramblers and also help plan the next programme.
The main autumn programme will be determined at or after the AGM, but to get us going, here are the first two walks, and the dates for the following ones.
All walks start at 10:15 unless otherwise noted.
